Safe Harbor is a non-profit, non-governmental organization funded in 1999. As a Child Advocacy Center, Safe Harbor provides a child friendly, safe and supportive environment for abused and neglected children. The center is a place where professionals work as a team to coordinate investigations and interventions on each child abuse case. This collaboration expedites each child’s time in the legal system, ensures that children are not re-victimized by the system and that they and their families are provided the support and services needed. Safe Harbor also provides Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchanges for children and families during conflict and crisis. Mission Statement: The mission of Safe Harbor is to provide a safe, secure and home-like environment for families who have been affected by abuse, neglect, divorce and/or separation so families can rebuild relationships.
